Triton College Info Session

Save the date!  Thursday, July 9, 2009  6:00-7:30pm

Please join us in the auditorium at Riverside Township Hall, 27 Riverside Road,  in Riverside, IL. for an opportunity to speak with Triton College staff here in your local township.  Representatives from Triton will share information on its programs and services and will respond to your general questions on programs and services.  To register for this event, please contact the Reference Department of the
La Grange Park Public Library at 352-0100 no later than July 6th. 

The La Grange Park Public Library is working in collaboration with area public libraries, the Riverside Township Supervisor's Office and Triton College for this event.

Music Under the Stars

The Park District's summer concerts begin June 17th.  They are held every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm in Memorial Park.  The rain site in Park Junior High School.

Rose Show

This year's Rose Show will be held June 13th from 2 - 4:30pm at Plymouth Place.  The theme is The Days of Wine and Roses.  Guidelines and other information can be found on the Village of La Grange Park's webpage

Farmer's Market

The La Grange Park Farmer's Market returns tomorrow, May 12th.  Its in the same place - in the parking lot by the volleyball courts behind Memorial Park.   It will run from 8am - 2pm.

Park District Trip to Shipshewana

The Park District is sponsoring a bus trip to Shipsewana, IN.  on Tuesday, June 9th. Registration deadline is May 26th.  More information is available here.

Pet Parade

This year's parade is Saturday, May 30 at 9:30.

Run for the Roses

The 18th annual Run for the Roses will be Saturday, May 16th.  Register before May 15th.

Holiday in the Park

The La Grange Park Business Association hosts "Holiday in the Park" on Saturday, December 13 at the Recreation Center of the Community Park District of La Grange Park.  From 1-5 pm there will be story times, children's games, face painting, cookie decorating, hayrides and a bonfire.  And of course Santa will be there, too!

The Recreation Center is located at 1501 Barnsdale Road

Red Sled

The 29th annual Red Sled takes place at Ogden School on Saturday, November 8 from 9am-3pm.

Take Charge of Your Health

This series of six classes will be presented by the Southwest Suburban Center on Aging - also know as the La Grange Senior Center - on Mondays from November 10-December 15  starting at 1pm.  It will cover topics like coping with fatigue, frustration, pain and isolation related to health conditions, exercising, using medications, communicating, good nutrition, and evaluating new treatments.
