Knitting Group Update

The knitting group is growing each day. We are all very happy for your participation. After our second meeting, we had collected 25 8" squares of various colors, hats, mittens, scarfs, and blankets. The squares have been sewn together and a wonder lap quilt is well on its way to becoming beautiful!

All are welcome. It is never too late to join. We have a huge amount of yarn to choose from and also patterns. Keep those 8" squares coming. In case you forgot, size 8 needles, washable yarn, and approximately 30-35 stitches will achieve the size we need. Have fun!

Our next "official" get together will be November 11th at 10am.

The La Grange Park Library has coordinated with North StarNet and has created a new community web site for the benefit of our Village and beyond. Please explore the site and you will find useful information about the La Grange Park Community. As the site develops area organizations will contribute to the information that will be available. You will find a calendar of events, local restaurants, health care, education, and more. Take a moment and check it out. We are sure you will find it useful.
