The La Grange Park Library will be part of the village's festivities tomorrow. We will have music, crafts and refreshments from 3-7 pm. At 4:15 the Forest Road Elementary School Choral Group will sing and from 5-7 pm Rabbit Ears, a flute and guitar duo will perform. Children will be able to make a craft in the Children's Department all afternoon. Refreshments will also be served all afternoon. Stop in and warm up.
Fourth graders attending schools in District 102 are busily reading some wonderful books in preparation for Battle of Books competitions that will take place after the first of the year. Check the list to see how many you have read.
Children may enter the at-large competition in the Scripps-Howard National Spelling Bee at the La Grange Park Library. The at-large bee will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2006. Word lists and registration forms are available in the Children's Department.
