Our 4th annual Nadine's Festival of the Arts will be presented starting Thursday, February 7. You can find a listing of all the events on our Calendar.
To see a selection of new titles that have been added to our Library collection in the month of January, click on the link under Books, Music, & Film and select "new additions". This new way of displaying some of our new titles give you a glimpse of the cover of the book along with a brief review. Hope there are books that are of interest to all.

Registration for AARP Tax Aide begins today. They will be at the Library on Tuesdays in February and March. Please stop by or call (352-0100) to register.
The Library has some of the most popular Federal and State tax forms free for the taking. They are on display near the Reference Desk on the second floor. If we don't have one you need, you can print your own from the IRS www.irs.gov or from the State of Illinois at www.revenue.state.il.us/taxforms/. The Reference Librarians can also print a copy for you.
The Library Board of Trustees and Staff would like to extend a HUGE thank you to our Library Volunteers. Between the Library Volunteers and the Volunteers for the Friends of the Library Bookstore the total hours of service given to the Library for 2007 was.......4,147 Hours! The Library remains to be a better service to our community because of all the time and help our Volunteers provide. Thank You to all.
On Monday, January 14 at 7 pm., Josie Adlofino, a tutor with Valley of Chicago Learning Center, will be at the Library to explain what dyslexia is, how it can be diagnosed and what can be done to help.
You must register to vote in the February 5 primary election by Tuesday, January 8th. You can register at the Library during regular hours. To register you must be a US Citizen, 18 years old and have lived at your current address for 30 days. Please bring 2 pieces of identification, one with a current address with you.
Are you tired of vacation and looking for something to do? Join us for a fun craft. Our Young Adults will be making belts out of Snapple caps on Thursday at 2pm. Sorry adults and kids, but this program is just for 12-18 year olds. You'll find all the fun happening in the Activity Room on the Lower Level.
