Who: Beginning readers and 5th-8th graders
What: The Library will pair up a beginning reader with an older reader to give the beginner a chance to practice his/her reading over the summer and the older reading a chance to give somebody a hand
Where: La Grange Park Public Library
When: June 9-July 19; 30 minutes per week; at a time convenient to both
Registration starts May 19 in the Children's Department
Why: For the love of books, reading and friendship
Children's Book Week is May 12-18th this year. Come see the display of the Library Staff's favorite children's books on the main floor near the stairs. Then continue down and explore all the wonders to be found in the Children's Department.
Hey kids - get ready for this year's summer reading program! You'll "Catch the Reading Bug" with all types of buzzing, flying, creeping and crawling activity. There will be craft programs and activity days and the popular Lunch Bunch returns. All the fun starts June 9. Be here!
The Library will be closed on Friday, May 2 for a staff in-service day. We will re-open on Saturday, May 3 at 10:00 am
