First Monday Movie

This month's movie is The Great Race starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Natalie Wood.  It will be shown Monday, August 3 at 10:30am in the Community Room.

Film Discussion

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father will be shown on July 31st at 7pm.  

Recycle @ Your Library

Do you have some old CD's or DVD's you just don't play anymore?  How about some books you've read or your children have outgrown?  Did you know you can donate them to the Friends of the Library's book shop.  They sell them and the money comes back to the Library.  Everybody wins!  You get rid of some clutter, the next person gets to read a great book, and the community gets to enjoy the materials and programs provided by the Library.

Adult Summer Reading

You've still got a week left to turn in your reading logs and receive a small gift.  Last day is Friday, July 31st.

Books Alive Book Discussion

There's still time to pick up a copy of Henning Mankell's The Eye of the Leopard at the Circulation Desk and join our book discussion. The group meets on Tuesday, July 21 at 2pm. 

Composting with Worms

On Monday, July 13th at 7pm, Stephanie Davis - the Urban Worm Girl - will be at the Library to present "Composting with Worms."  The process of recycling kitchen waste using the wisdom and efficiency of red worms is simple, clean and odorless.  Whether in your house or apartment, worm composting is a reminder of our interconnectedness to the earth and all of its living beings.
