September Is Library Card Sign-Up Month

Who says you can't get something for nothing? This simply doesn't apply at your Library.  We offer shelves full of books, videos, audio books, music CDs, magazines and more. Computers are available for your use or you can bring your own.

The La Grange Park Library wants to make sure that you and your children are among the two-thirds of Americans that carry the smartest card of all - a library card.

It is easy to get a card and if you lost your card, we charge only $1.00 to replace it.  Fill out an application and present it along with a picture ID and a second item with your current address (utility bill, mail addressed to you, etc.)  Children under 18 must bring a parent/guardian to get their card.

Bring your new or updated card to the circulation desk and get a chance to enter the drawing.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of September.

Iran is home to one of the world's oldest continuous major civilizations.  World traveler Bill Helmuth has recently returned from a 1000-mile trip through Iran.  In his slide/lecture, you'll meet the friendly people of Iran and tour the magnificent sites of this interesting country.
