Calling all Knitters and Crocheters

Our monthly knitting group will meet on Thursday, September 8.  They start  to gather around 10:30am in the East bay on the 2nd floor and stay til around noon.  Everyone of any skill level is welcome.

Fall Story Times

Fall Story Times begin on Monday, September 12 and continue through October 28.  Registration begins on September 6.

Preschool Story Times are held Monday or Tuesday mornings at 10:15am, or Tuesday afternoons at 1pm and for children ages 3 through 5

Story Times for Toddlers are held on Wednesday mornings at 10:15 for children ages 2 through 3 1/2

Special story times are planned for day-care providers who look after a number of children.  These sessions are for children ages 2 through 5 and are held on Fridays at 10:15am.

National Library Card Sign-Up Month

Each September, libraries across the nation reach out to members of their communities and encourage them to sign up for a library card.

This year, La Grange Park Public Library is offering all residents a chance at a prize.  Come in, get a new card, renew a card, or just check something out, and you can spin our prize wheel.  We have gift cards, bags, mugs and more.  Many of the prizes have been donated by local businesses.  For those who get their first La Grange Park Public Library card, there will be a special prize drawing.

It's easy to get a library card.  All you need is a picture I.D. and one other item like a utility bill with your current address.  Come in and fill out the application and we'll give you the card within a few minutes.  To renew a card, you just need to have a picture I.D. and your old library card.  Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them to get or renew a card.
